Cowtown Classic 5

UC Davis, November 19-20, 2022

Our C Team, AKA Deja Moos, competed in our own invitational this year! Cowtown Classic was an amazing way to start off this competitive season. We are so proud of our team's adaptability in this tournament. Special shoutouts to our members Jenna Chui and Arushi Joshipura for earning their first awards!

Santa Monica ORCS

Santa Monica Courthouse, March 7-8 2020

​

After a weekend of top-tier competition, our A team earned a bid to Nationals! Our A and B teams competed at Santa Monica ORCS, hosted by UCLA. We are so proud to have the opportunity to compete in Chicago Nationals and also very proud of Shasta Fields for becoming an All Nationals attorney!

*Due to COVID-19, Nationals for the 2019-2020 season was cancelled.

ORCS 2020

Fresno Regionals

Fresno State University, February 22-23 2020​

​

Our B and C teams competed in the Fresno Regionals, hosted by Fresno State. After a hard fought weekend, Sam Maciel earned a witness award for our C team and B team left with our program's second bid to ORCS of the year!

San Diego Regionals

Regionals A Team 2020

University of San Diego, February 8-9 2020

​

University of San Diego hosted an incredible Regionals, attended by our A team. The first competition of the official competitive season was a success to say the least! After much preparation, both Shasta Fields and Ariel Mendlin (three-for-three now!) earned attorney awards. Most importantly, the team earned a bid to ORCS!

UC Berkeley's second tournament was an amazing experience for our B and C teams! Our B team placed fourth overall and captain Ashley Lo received an attorney award

UCLA, January 18-19 2020

Our A team attended UCLAssic, hosted by UCLA. They loved competing and our President, Ariel Mendlin earned an 18 rank attorney award, making her two-for-two this season!

 

Beach Party Invitational

UC Irvine, January 11-12 2020

​

UC Irvine hosted this tournament, as well as a social on the beach for all competing teams for which it gets its name. The structure of this tournament was bracket style comprised of programs instead of single teams. We sent our A and B teams who together earned fifth place. Ariel Mendlin won a 19 rank attorney award.

UC Davis, November 23-24 2019

In their first stacked tournament, our C team got to compete at Cowtown Classic, hosted by yours truly! They had a wonderful time competing and our program had a fantastic time hosting!

Real Deal Fall 2019

UC Berkeley, November 2-3 2019

​

The first of UC Berkeley's two tournaments kicked off our tournament season. We sent all three of our unstacked teams. We brought home three witness awards, going to Ryan Serrano, Jafar Khalfani-Bey, and Aarya, and two attorney awards, going to Tarakdeep Singh and Jafar Khalfani-Bey (double threat!). Our very own "Real Deal" team placed second overall and our "Mock Flock" team placed eighth overall.

 

35th AMTA National Championship Tournament

Philadelphia Municipal Courthouse, April 4-7 2019​

​

Our team had the honor of traveling to Philadelphia for the 35th AMTA National Championship Tournament, hosted by Elizabethtown College! We are so grateful for having the opportunity to compete among the top 48 teams in the country. It was a great end to our 2018-2019 competitive season!

Santa Monica ORCS

Santa Monica Courthouse, March 8-9 2019​

The Open Round Championship Series was hosted by UCLA. Rounds took place in the Santa Monica Courthouse. We are very excited to announce that our A team earned a bid to the 35th AMTA Nationals Tournament in Philadelphia with ended a record of 6-2! Congratulations to Shasta Fields for earning an All Nationals Witness Award.

Fresno Regionals

Fresno State University, February 23-24 2019​

 

This Regionals Tournament was hosted by Fresno State and both our A and B teams earned bids to ORCS! Our B team placed 4th with a record of 5.5-2.5 and our A team placed 6th with a record of 5-3. Congratulations to our All Regionals Attorneys Jafar Khalfani Bey, Brandon Rizzoto, and Ariel Mendlin in addition to our All Regionals Witness, Jackie Graves!

Claremont Regionals

Pomona College, February 9-10 2019​

 

This Regionals Tournament was hosted by Pomona College and we sent our C team. After much hard work, they ended with a record of 5-3 and earned an honorable mention! Congratulations to Andrea Samano for earning an All Regionals Attorney title!

Atypi-Cal Invitational

UC Berkeley, January 26-27 2019​

 

This was the second invitational hosted by UC Berkeley this year and we had a great time attending this tournament! UC Davis sent two teams to this tournament (Our stacked A and B teams) with great success. Our A team took 2nd place with a record of 6-2 and our B team took 4th place with a 6-2 record as well. We had numerous award winners starting with attorneys: Sorcha Wylde, Jafar Khalfani-Bey, and Shasta Fields. Shasta also took home a witness award!

UCLA, January 19-20 2019​

​

Hosted by UCLA’s mock trial team, this was the first time that UC Davis had attended this tournament in the last few years. This tournament was our first back from winter break and the first one our stacked A team had competed together at. Congratulations to Gurtej Kahlon for winning an outstanding attorney award and Shasta Fields for winning an outstanding witness award.
